My Free Time
I have a secret superpower, that I frequently use during my free time. Mostly, having some free time is a luxury, but after giving time to my work and family if I do get some free time, my secret super power comes into play. No, it's not like becoming invisible or flying with a cape, it's research. Yes, I do a lot of research about things that fascinate me, whether it's related to my work or something I am curious about.
My areas of research are vast, ranging from pre-historic wars to modern marvels of the world, from global politics to renewable energy. Anything and everything that fascinates me and makes me curious is on my agenda of research.
I strongly believe that the learning curve should continue to grow, and one has to keep an open mind when learning new things. This is not to become master of all trades, but to have enough relevant information to have a meaningful conversation with anyone. In this age of information and easily accessible media, it would be inappropriate to forgo any chance of learning a thing or two new. This also helps me in getting to know more and more people with whom I share something common, and I am always open to share the knowledge about anything that I know of. |
Yes, professional degrees are important, but your learning curve becomes more steep when you encounter real life situations, think about possible outcomes, alternate ways of doing things with efficiency and effectiveness in mind. That's when your creative self suddenly wakes up and starts thinking, and at that time my super power comes into play.
